Planned Giving / Gifts Through Your Will and Other Options.

Making a gift through your Will (also known as planned giving) allows you to support Calm Impact in another meaningful way. The biggest myth about planned giving is that you need to have significant wealth. Most donors who make gifts through their Will are not millionaires. They are regular people — teachers, postal workers, small business owners, mechanics, and people like you who want to make a difference.

If you would like assistance with your Will, please let us know. Our partner supporter can help guide you through the process. There are many ways to make a donation, including leaving a gift through your Will, trust, retirement account, or life insurance policy. Below are several planned giving options:

  1. Wills
Leaving a gift through your Will is a simple way to make a donation and leave a lasting legacy.

  2. IRA Rollovers and QCDs
IRA charitable rollovers and Qualified Charitable Distributions allow people age 70½ and older to donate directly from retirement accounts.

  3. Annuities
Charitable gift annuities allow donors to receive fixed, guaranteed income for life. Afterward, the remaining funds go to support the organization.

  4. Simple Beneficiary Designation
A simple way to make a gift by naming Calm Impact as a beneficiary of your retirement accounts, bank accounts, or life insurance policies. This option typically does not require lawyers or extensive paperwork.

  5. DAFs, Stock, and Real Estate
Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) have grown tremendously in popularity. Many supporters do not realize they can name charities as beneficiaries. Gifts of stock and real estate also offer additional possibilities for donors.
